Game Jam 2022

Feeling Strong 2022 Game JAM!

We are hosting Feeling Strong's first ever Game Jam on the 13th & 14th of August! The purpose of the Game Jam is to encourage young people aged 16-26 to meet other like minded individuals. The theme of the Game Jam will be mental health to encourage young people to discuss their experiences in a fun and creative way.

The event will run over the two days with refreshments and pizza provided. There will also be prizes for the winning teams!

What is a Game Jam?

A game jam is an event where participants try to make a video game from scratch. Participants can work independently, or in teams. Participants are generally programmers, game designers, artists, writers, or musicians. You don't need to have any game making experience however, because you could also do a board game or a card game! If you are interested sign up using the links provided and we look forward to seeing you!

When and Where will it be Taking Place?

The Game Jam will be taking place at our Hub at Block 5, 2 Seabraes Ln, Dundee DD1 4NX. The event will run over both the Saturday and Sunday starting at 10:00 and finishing at 22:00 on both days. Further down is a rough timeline of how the days should run for more information on what to expect.

How Do I Take Part?

Simply sign up using the links provided! It should send you to sign up form for you to fill out. You can come along to the Game Jam on your own and join a group or come along with your friends and work together on a game - everyone is invited and welcome to come along.

What do I Need to Bring?

Unfortunately, we are unable provide any equipment so make sure to bring what you need along on the day! We can provide basic craft materials and use of our printer.

What Will Happen with the Finished Games?

Once the games have been completed, we will have judges from local games companies play the games and decide on who the winners are. Prizes will be given out to the teams who come first, second and third!

After the Game Jam is over, the completed games will be uploaded to our website for users to play so make sure to check in again for that!
