Work with us!
PEER OUTREACH OFFICER

We're looking for a motivated self-starter to coach young people with mental health and wellbeing challenges by listening to their stories and supporting their recovery journey. We are looking for someone who will coordinate our work for young people who face mental health and wellbeing challenges in Dundee to refine our listening services, develop drop-in support services, and create connections. In this role, you will work with other staff members, volunteers and partner organisations to promote better outcomes for our young people.
This is a part-time role (0.6 FTE, 24 hours per week, £25,000 FTE) and fixed-term for 6 months, funded by The ALLIANCE.

The post holder will be expected to spend at least 2 days per week at Newfield Medical Centre and the remaining time at Feeling Strong.
We would particularly welcome applications from candidates who are young people with lived experience of mental health and wellbeing challenges.
who are feeling strong?
Feeling Strong exists to make sure that every young person in Dundee, who has experienced a mental health or wellbeing challenge, is supported to reach their full potential. We deliver projects, services and campaigns in the community to tackle stigma, build confidence, develop resources, create networks and most importantly support the positive recovery journey of our young people. Our services are designed by young people, delivered by young people, and for young people - we believe that this youth-led/peer-led approach is our biggest asset in tackling issues around mental health and wellbeing.
