Signposting
Helping people find support that might help them is called signposting. There are lots of options for mental health and wellbeing support in Dundee and wider Scotland, though young people have told us that often they are hard to find.

DUNDEE-BASED:
THE CORNER
Health and Wellbeing service that provides free, confidential information and advice for young people aged 11-19.
HOT CHOCOLATE TRUST
Youth Work organisation, based in Dundee city centre. It is open to all young people secondary school age up to 21 yrs old without prejudice or distinction.
HOPE POINT
A community wellbeing centre open day and night to help people who are struggling to see a way ahead in life and need immediate access to support.

BEFRIENDS
A befriending service for 5-25 year olds who are experiencing some kind of difficulties in their life. They meet once a week with a befriender who helps them take part in fun activities around the city.
SCRAPANTICS

DUNDEE INDEPENDENT ADVOCACY SUPPORT
Offers advocacy support to those over the age of 21. Giving people the opportunity to take control over their own lives by enabling them to exercise choice based on their own needs and wishes and to have their views heard and responded to.
ACTIVE SCHOOLS DUNDEE
Provides young people with opportunities to take part in physical activity before, during and after school with links to community clubs. Each school should have an active schools coordinator that can help you to get involved.
