Our Community & Learning workstream is based on our value of inclusivity and aims to level the playing field for our young people; specifically focusing on the links between the life skills gap and young people with mental health challenges. Through formal and informal learning and skills pathways, our Community & Learning Coordinator works to upskill underrepresented young people and provide them with unique opportunities for professional growth and development to help them to build mentally healthy homes and lifestyles and empower them to define their own paths.
You can refer a young person to our services by filling out our referral form. Referrals can be made by staff, parents/guardians/carers, family members, friends, GPs, schools, other organisations, job centres etc. If you are 18+ you can also self refer.
Once referred, we will get in touch with a welcome email telling you all about our current services, and how to book into 1-1 peer coaching and listening sessions. We are happy to give you a tour of the space before you commit to coming along to sessions also. There is no pressure to come to sessions, so come along as often or as little as you'd like, or when you feel you'd like the support!
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch with contact@feelingstrong.co.uk.
