Feeling Strong have a brilliant new opportunity for young people aged 8 - 26 who live, work or study in Dundee!
Feeling Strong’s newest campaign serves to support young people to be leaders in their own right and make their voices be heard by the Scottish Government by creating a youth led Mental Health Manifesto!
We’ve launched a survey to give young people in Dundee an opportunity to discuss their experiences accessing mental health support in Dundee; NHS, private and third sector (like us!); and express what they believe needs to change to better support. In the survey they also have the opportunity to join our focus group, where we’ll work on finalising the main demands for the manifesto and decide on the design.
In June we celebrated the work of our focus group with an exciting trip to the Scottish Parliament where we had a guided tour, sat in on the First Minister's Question Time and discussed our mental health manifesto with Joe Fitzpatrick MSP for Dundee West!
One MSP is not enough! We want to reach as many Members of Scottish Parliament as possible! So we're planning an official showcase of our Mental Health Manifesto!
In the meantime, we want to develop our manifesto more, adding more research and including more young people - meaning that our survey is now being extended until the end of the year!
There's still time for you to get involved!
