Based on our value of Inclusivity, our Community & Learning workstream strives to level the playing field for our young people by offering both formal and informal accessible learning opportunities in the community!
We’ll ensure that accessibility is at the heart of our work, standing alongside all young people who want to work with us, no matter their circumstances or background. We know that diverse identities play a huge role in the barriers faced by our young people so intersectionality will underpin how we work.

Young people with mental health and wellbeing challenges have some of the lowest access rates to higher/further education and skilled employment. We're here to support young people to pave the way to their futures!
We believe that our young people are just as capable if properly supported
We believe that everyone should have the chance to flourish in work by receiving the proper support from their employers
We believe that everyone should have fair access to ongoing education, regardless of their background
Our approach to communities and partnerships is to support and compliment the work that's already happening in communities across Dundee. We are bringing together access to a range of services in a single point, work with employers to build safer workplaces, deliver free training in the community around mental health, suicide prevention and more!

Our new weekly ‘Skill Up’ project aims to support young people aged 12-26, who have experienced or are currently experiencing mental health or wellbeing challenges, to recognise their employability skills and prepare them for creating their own path to the future. With support from staff and volunteers young people can explore their future options, begin to build networks, study or revise in a non-judgemental, supportive and quiet environment, and have increased confidence, skills and self-awareness they can carry on to their next steps.
