📣 CALLING ALL ARTISTS! 📣
Do you want more art experience for college/university applications, CVs or just for fun?
We're opening up submissions for artwork for our Scroll Down art exhibition!
Anyone who LIVES, WORKS or STUDIES in Dundee, aged 12 to 26 can submit!
You can submit physical artwork like canvas paintings, collage, posters, photographs, print making, comics, zines, black-out poetry, cross-stitch, embroidery, sculpture or any other physical art work.
OR
You can submit digital illustrations, comics or paintings; animations, animatics, 3D models or environments, GIFS, digital photography, digital collages, digital zines, or any other digital art work!
Artwork must be about how rapidly developing technology and social media affects youth mental health.
You can be positive or negative! Show us how you feel about it!
You MAY use generative AI to DEVELOP or CONTRIBUTE to your artwork, BUT AI MUST NOT BE THE ENTIRETY OF YOUR SUBMITTED WORK!
For example, you could use ChatGPT to create a chat log that you print out and cut up to use in a collage, black-out poetry, or to paint/draw over.
You could also use AI to generate images that you critique or paint/draw over.
You CANNOT use work generated by AI without significant edits/development/personal hand-made touch.
Any submissions who don't follow our rules and guidelines will not be included.
You can get your artwork out there and have your unique voice and opinion heard by the Dundee community!
Opportunities like this are brilliant to include in college/university applications, personal statements and art related CVs! It's also a great way to build your portfolio and include on art related social media accounts like instagram, bluesky, art station or your own website.
You can include your art social media accounts in your submission and we'll make sure to tag you in social media posts about the exhibiton or when we share your work. Please don't include personal/private accounts!
All artists who submit will be invited to the exhibition with any guests they'd like and receive the Scroll Down resource and art zine with their artwork showcased and credited inside!
Please contact caitlyn.bannatyne@feelingstrong.co.uk to submit your artwork or to organise sending us your physical artwork.
Please include:

a short paragraph about you as an artist (example: what mediums you use and what inspires you)
why this topic is important to you/inspired you to submit your work
any links to art social media accounts or professional websites you'd like us to tag/credit you with when we post online
Please choose suitable files for your work to send to us. Feel free to send us links to file sharing platforms or a google drive folder if you'd like to submit more than one piece or large files.
If your artwork is physical, please email the above information and we'll get back in touch to let you know the best times to visit the Feeling Strong Hub to hand in your work.
