Fundraising Lead

Our Operations Team is growing and needs your help! With the support of a dedicated and proactive volunteer we can grow the capacity of Feeling Strong to deliver services and campaigns by delivering engaging fundraising activity in the community and applying for small grants.

The Details

Feeling Strong is an exciting new Dundee based charity with the ambition to improve the lives of young people living with mental health and wellbeing challenges by fostering the skills, confidence and aspirations they need to flourish in work, education and life. We deliver services and activity in the community to provide opportunities for our service users in the areas of lobbying, skills development and service co-production.

Feeling Strong is committed to treating volunteers fairly, and we have achieved the Youth Friendly Charter accreditation which demonstrates best practice in supporting young volunteers.

Your Commitment

In this role you are asked to help organise the fundraising activity and events of Feeling Strong, including supporting general volunteers, applying for small grants and following fundraising best practice. This role is mostly based in the community and requires a commitment to a schedule of events, but some work can done remotely and at your own pace - we are explicitly looking for pro-active self-starters. Also, as a member of the Operations Team, you may be asked to help with the organisation of the charities' other activities on occasion. The Operations Team meet once a month, for hour long meetings.

Any travels costs will be reimbursed.


Basic training and a volunteer induction will be provided, but we would particularly welcome volunteers with skills in Fundraising, Events Management, Book Keeping and experience of supporting and upskilling volunteers. We would also encourage candidates who are a young person with lived experience of mental health or wellbeing challenges to apply.
